On July 25th, Convergence sent a team down to Seattle, Washington to attend a Japan-Seattle AI Innovation event hosted by Innovation Finders Capital. Our delegation consisted of Convergence CEO Matthew Housser, a member of our Japan team, and both a Blockchain and an AI specialist.

Around a dozen Japanese corporations – such as Fujitsu, SMBC and Mitsubishi – attended in the event, seeking innovation. Representatives from each Japanese company presented their challenges and goals for AI-based enterprise modernization.

Our team networked with Japanese companies and discussed how AI could be used to tackle various challenges. On day 2, the Japanese delegates booked private meetings with select North American companies. Convergence was fortunate enough to have been specifically requested for multiple follow-up meetings.

We look forward to helping to bring more events like these to Vancouver through our relationships with regional trade associations such as the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade.
