Fintel Connect is a company dedicated to serving the financial services and fintech space with its leading performance affiliate marketing tracking technology.
Headquartered in Vancouver, Canada, the team at Fintel Connect (“FC”) supports a range of Tier 1 banks, community banks and financial technology companies through its extensive network of publishers and fully scalable tracking and reporting technologies.
FC approached our design team with a clear vision in mind: to have a sharp marketing website that would better reflect Fintel Connect’s technological advances, while being more engaging, user-friendly and impactful to both brands and publishers.
The biggest problem is that most people don’t know what Affiliate Marketing is; our mission was to craft an experience that would cater to the uninitiated.
The initial phase of effort centered around conceiving, planning and executing a design strategy that would help explain Fintel Connect’s business. Ultimately, we proposed a healthy mix of infographics and animations to help Fintel Connect’s values shine, all without overwhelming the viewers.
In addition, by adding micro-interactions throughout the web application workflows, we proposed a strategy to allow each section of the website to be its own focus point without having to fight for attention with competing / adjacent sections.
An important part of the approach to redesigning Fintel Connect’s public-facing marketing website was its different approaches for brands and publishers. While there is a need to focus on professionalism and credibility when working with brand content, the design for publishers should express business networking and human connections. As a result, for brand content, we used a tone of dark blue to represent elegance, authority, and intelligence – traits that are paramount to the financial industry.
For publishers’ content, we geared towards a lighter and brighter palette; when combined with more human-centric elements, this helps give off a warm, welcoming and intuitive vibe – all while continuing to be visually exciting.
Fintel Connect also needed a way to better communicate two important products to their customers: Fintel Performance, an end-to-end solution to manage your performance marketing partnerships, and Fintel Check, an AI-driven partner monitoring and compliance tool which protects customers’ brands and keeps their partners compliant.
After aligning our understanding of each product through discovery meetings, the process began with our team creating two new logos that would follow the main brand guidelines. The ultimate goal was to solidify Fintel Connect’s brand recognition, while building a consistent sub-brand ecosystem.
The colour studies passed through multiple rounds of reviews with stakeholders. Upon consensus, the team agreed on the main visual concept that would guide all of the visual assets: finance-focused networks built through human connections. The two overlapping circles represent Fintel Connect’s main target audiences – publishers and brands.

Fintel Connect won Best Solution for Revenue Growth and was the overall Best of FinXTech Connect at the 2020 FinXTech Awards.
